阿拉伯科特邀请阿联酋的承包商和工程公司参与在埃及建造一百万座新房子的建设。
契约表明，来自阿联酋和埃及的公司都有参与到这个项目的优先权，这些招标活动是由阿拉伯科特的子公司——阿拉伯科特埃及房地产开发商组织的。
阿拉伯科特公司与埃及国防部签订了400亿美元的项目合同，项目内容是在埃及13个地区建造一百万座新房子。

原文：Arabtec hasinvited contractors and engineering firms from its home market of the UAE topre-register bid for part of its deal to build 1mn new homes in Egypt.
The contractor has said that firms fromboth the UAE and Egyptwould would be given priority in helping to deliver this project,which Arabtec is developing through a new subsidiary, Arabtec Egypt forProperty Development.
It signed a deal with Egypt'sMinistry of Defense to deliver a $40bn project for one million new homes to bebuilt in 13 different locations across the country in March.
Ismaik said the project “demonstrates the UAE leadership’s keenness on supporting Egypt and help realise the dreamsof millions of Egyptians".
"From this perspective, we consider itas a ‘national project’ and that is why Egyptand UAE firms will have preferential treatment.”
He also said the introduction of UAE firmsinto the market to compete with Egyptian contractors would also help to create competetion,but reiterated that he wanted to see as many Egyptians as possible working onit. It expects to engage at least 200 local contractors.
Work is currently still in the designphase, but construction of phase one, Al Obour City, could get underway by thethird quarter of this year.
