据悉，利雅得城区将改头换面，呈现一个兼具历史文化、经济繁荣的行政管理中心。

利雅得发展局(ADA)已经制定好计划在居住、交通和公共设施上全面升级。计划主要集中亮化居住区，并扩大面积，以容纳更多居民。ADA和住房部将共同协调落实该地区居住项目。

综合改造道路的计划也已制定好，道路将环绕需要改造的地区，并有部分城内道路需要新建。

计划还包括扩大公共运输系统，如地铁和巴士及其站台，需要改造的有中转站、人行道、和停车场等。扩大城区开放空间、加强安保措施也在计划之内。

此次城区升级改造旨在创造更多工作岗位，多元化居住模式，平衡城市和人口的发展。

 

 

Downtown Riyadh set for massive redevelopment

The downtown area of Riyadh is to undergo a facelift which will see it transformed into an historical, administrative, economic and cultural centre, local media reports have revealed.

Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) has set plans underway to redevelop the area involving residential, transport and utility projects.

The plan focuses on identifying areas for residential development and various residential units to accommodate a large number of residents.

ADA and the Ministry of Housing are coordinating to implement residential projects in the area.

An integrated plan for transport development has also been put in place, with the road surrounding the area to be restructured to serve as a ring road and new interior roads to be built.

The plan includes tracks for a mass transport system such as metro and bus routes and their stations, while intersections, pedestrian walkways and car parks will also be refurbished.

And plans are being drawn up to expand open spaces in the area and strengthen urban security.

The aim of the redevelopment is to increase job opportunities and diversify residential patterns to achieve urban and demographic balancing, while also preserving the urban and cultural heritage and existing business activities.
