据世界高层都市建筑学会最近研究，预计到2015年，中东国家超过150米的摩天大楼将达到300座。题为“中东国家20年间的摩天大楼”的研究显示，1995年，中东国家拥有超过150米的高楼仅有两座。而20年以后的2015年，将会有289座摩天高楼。其中三分之二的高楼（约66%）会在阿联酋国家，如迪拜和阿布扎比。其次是沙特阿拉伯，科威特和巴林。
近年中东国家的摩天大楼迅速崛起，高楼建筑师们设计的建筑也越趋复杂。建造过程中，建筑师，工程师和承包商们都开始采用建筑资讯模型软件。
Skyscraperconstruction is booming across the Middle East, with the region projected tohave nearly 300 skyscrapers of at least 150 metres tall by 2015, according to arecent study by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).The study, titled “The Middle East: 20Years of Building Skyscrapers”, showed that the region only had two towers ofover 150m in 1995,but forecast that this will rise to 289 by 2015. Two-thirds (66%) of these willbe in the UAE, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi housing the most.These are then followed by Saudi Arabia,Kuwait and Bahrainrespectively. Executive vice-president Risto Räty said: “The Middle East isseeing incredible growth in the number of skyscrapers, and to stand outarchitects are designing increasingly complex structures."Architects,engineers, and contractors are turning to Building InformationModeling software to manage the entire construction workflow."
