科威特航空订购25架空客飞机

近日，科威特与空中客车公司签署了一份合同，科威特从空客订购25家新飞机、租赁12架，这是自1990年以来最大的一次举措。

新飞机将在2014年第二季度陆续交付。目前尚不清楚合同总价值和其他具体细节。

今年5月份，科威特就曾与空客公司签署了最初的协议，订购25家飞机并有增加订购10架飞机的选择权。其中15架为A320neo型飞机，10架为空客A350-900XWB新型飞机。

科航计划退役11架飞机，这些飞机平均使用年限已达到18年。

另外，由于伊拉克前总统萨达姆侯赛因曾强行扣留了科航飞机，科航于去年获得伊拉克航空5亿美元赔款，结束了这场20年的纷争。

InMayKuwaitAirwayssaidithadsignedaninitialagreementwithAirbustobuy25newaircraftandhadtakenanoptionon10more,sayingtheorderwouldbefor15A320neonarrowbodyjetsand10ofAirbus'snewA350-900XWB.

Theairlinewantstotakeoutofservice11jetsfromits17-strongfleet,theplanesofwhichhaveanaverageageof18years.
