卡塔尔宣布申办2032年奥运会

卡塔尔于27日正式致函国际奥委会，申办2032年奥运会及残奥会，希望能首次把奥运会带到中东国家。此前，该国曾申办过2016年和2020年两届奥运会，但先后输给了巴西里约热内卢与日本东京。此次是卡塔尔第三次申办奥运会。

Qatar, the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, announced that it will seek to host the 2032 Olympic Games on Monday. The Gulf Arab state's Olympic committee said it submitted a request to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to join the phase of "continuous dialogue" about hosting a future Games. The Olympics have never been hosted in the Middle East, and Qatar will be the first nation in the region to host soccer's biggest showpiece.
