迪拜将建造全球最大人工湖

2013年迪拜城市规划展（Cityscape Global 2013）开幕式上，水晶人工湖专利巨头CrystalLagoons公司宣布了将在迪拜建造世界最大的人工湖。

该项目计划建设成为世界上最大的人造湖，占地40公顷,比现存的人工湖大四倍面积。选址位于穆罕默德·本·拉希德城市区域内的一个高档住宅社区，包括人工湖整个住宅项目的金额价值达到70亿美元(256.9亿迪拉姆)。在这一片4700万平方英尺的自由乐土上，新人工湖将成为穆罕默德·本·拉希德城市的一个重要的放松休闲场所，将提供游泳、水上运动和其他水上娱乐等一系列活动。此外，还囊括了豪华住宅、公园绿地、航道、高端购物场馆、餐饮娱乐空间。预计工程竣工后,这个世界最大的人工湖将被载入吉尼斯世界纪录。

Dubai: The city of superlatives is allset to add yet another feather to its cap – the world’s largest man-madelagoon.

The project said to be the latestand grandest yet by Crystal Lagoons Corp, the patented technology developer ofgiant lagoons, will be launched at the Cityscape Global 2013 which kicks off onOctober 8 inDubai.

Upon completion, the lagoon willbe entered into the Guinness Book of Records, said a statement released by thecompany on Wednesday.

The project involves theconstruction of the world’s largest manmade lagoon, covering 40 hectares,nearly four times bigger than the world’s largest existing lagoon.

To be located in the upscale MohammadBinRashidCity – District One residentialcommunity, the lagoon will form an integral part of the $7 billion (Dh25.69billion) project.

The new lagoon with its expansivecustom-made beaches will offer unlimited scope for swimming, water sports andother water-based leisure activities and will be a core amenity within MohammadBinRashidCity – District One’s 47 million squarefeet of freehold land.

The expansive development willalso feature luxury residences, green parklands, waterways, a high-end shoppingand dining pavilion and large recreational spaces.

Crystal Lagoons has completed twolagoons in the popular Egyptian resort of Sharm Al Shaikh - including currentlythe world’s largest lagoon at 12 hectares – and another project in Jordan, while two other projects are underdevelopment in Omanand the UAE.
